Georgia has three major engineering programs in the state at traditional, campus-based universities. For those in rural areas, or adult learners looking for online programs, there are also a number of online engineering degree options for Georgia residents at nearby and nationwide schools. Georgia is known for its engineering and technical prowess, and its learning options reflect that.
All schools are offered in different cities, such as Atlanta, Athens and Macon, so there are a variety of living options should you choose to pursue an engineering degree in Georgia. However, it should be noted that the Georgia Institute of Technology offers the widest range of engineering degrees out of all the programs in the state.
- Syracuse University's College of Engineering and Computer Science offers an online M.S. in Computer Engineering, teaching students to create groundbreaking hardware and software solutions, can be completed in as few as 15 months, and has GRE waivers available. A Bachelor's degree is required.

Mercer University only offers an M.S.E. degree in Software Engineering and M.S. degrees in Software Systems and Technical Communication Management online; all undergraduate work must be completed in-person.
The University of Georgia also offers engineering degrees in a variety of fields. Unfortunately, the University of Georgia has no online degree offerings for either an undergraduate or graduate degree in any engineering field.
