In the state of Massachusetts, there are more than 30 accredited engineering schools. This gives a variety of options for anyone who’s interested in pursuing an engineering degree as a career option.

There are quite a few cities in Massachusetts that have one engineering school in their location. However, some of the cities in the state have multiple schools. The most popular city for this degree is Boston, which has five separate accredited colleges for engineering studies. Following Boston is a tie between Cambridge and Springfield, which each have two accredited schools in their city.

Online Engineering Degrees in Massachusetts

Several options for an online engineering degree are available in Massachusetts. At University of Massachusetts Online are the following degrees: Graduate Certificate in Biomedical Engineering, Graduate Certificate in Plastics Engineering, and Master of Science in Engineering Management.

There are also multiple courses online through Harvard’s Distance Learning Program, and a Software Engineering Certificate can be obtained online. Through Boston University College of Engineering online, there are four graduate certificate programs available: Engineering Innovation, Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems – or MEMS, Energy & Sustainability and Product Design. There is also a Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering.
